Buildings that help the grid.
kuafu lets heat pumps, batteries and electric cars in buildings work with the power grid, lowering costs and CO₂.
Supported by
More heat pumps and electric cars. The same grid.
Buildings are switching to electric heating and charging. When many devices run at the same time, the local grid reaches its limits, and upgrades are slow and expensive.
kuafu coordinates these devices so that they run at better times: when there is plenty of solar power, when electricity is cheaper, or when the grid has room.
One platform. Three kinds of partners.
Building owners
Lower energy costs and less CO₂ from the devices you already own.
For building ownersEnergy management providers
New income from grid services and smarter energy management for your customers.
For EMS providersGrid operators
Use the flexibility of buildings to avoid costly grid reinforcement.
For grid operatorsSimple for the building. Smart for the grid.
Connect
kuafu connects through the energy management system that already runs in the building.
Learn
kuafu learns how each building uses energy, and how much it can shift.
Coordinate
Devices run when solar power is plentiful, prices are lower, or the grid has room.
Lower energy costs
Predictive control uses energy when it is cheaper.
Less CO₂
Energy use moves to times of high renewable supply.
Fewer grid upgrades
The existing grid can carry more, so costly reinforcement can wait.

All questionsAbout kuafu
What is kuafu?
kuafu is an independent Swiss start-up based in Dübendorf. It offers an AI-powered grid-edge orchestration platform as a service. The platform makes heat pumps, batteries and EV chargers in buildings work with the power grid, to lower energy costs and CO₂.
For building and real-estate owners
Can kuafu lower my building's energy costs?
Often, yes. kuafu runs heat pumps, batteries and EV charging when electricity is cheaper or when renewable supply is high, for example from your own solar panels. In 2025 pilots, this lowered energy costs compared with standard control (VSE PerspectivE, in German).
Does kuafu work for a portfolio of buildings?
Yes. kuafu is designed to manage many buildings together, with real-time monitoring across all connected sites.
Getting started
